Enrollment Development Specialist

The Tucson Waldorf School is growing! We have created a part-time temporary position to support the development of a growing and vibrant school community by building strong relationships among current, potential, and alumni school families; and between families, faculty, and school administration. Responsibilities: The Enrollment Development Specialist works in conjunction with the enrollment coordinator in Handling all initial inquiries from prospective new families, working with the Enrollment Coordinator to ensure efficient, timely, and welcoming follow-through. Introducing potential new families to the school community by giving some tours, introducing them to current members of the school community, facilitating connections with other parents, and generally making potential new families feel welcome and engaged with the school. Helping to retain currently enrolled families by maintaining awareness of issues affecting school enrollment and parent satisfaction, and helping faculty and administration to prevent or handle potential problems that may lead to withdrawal from the school. Working with administration, faculty and board to build and maintain positive word-of-mouth marketing for the school. Requirements: The Enrollment Development Specialist will have excellent customer service ethic and skills; work well with a wide diversity of people; build relationships easily and well; understand the importance of community and how to build connections between people; have excellent organization skills to ensure communication with other key administrative staff and flawless follow-through with prospective families; have strong understanding of, and passion for, Waldorf education and the Tucson Waldorf School community. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with ideas for ways to increase enrollment at our lovely rural school situated among the rolling hills of Northern California. Youth Initiative High School
Youth Initiative High School, a developing Waldorf high school (status pending), located in rural southwestern Wisconsin is seeking a qualified Faculty Chair. The responsibilities of this position, combined with teaching, administrative work, or development work may form part of a full time position. Youth Initiative High School operates on a system of group participation, which includes the Student, Parent, Faculty and Administrative bodies (or their elected representatives), and works towards consensus in all areas, unless conditions warrant immediate, unilateral action. Depending on the amount of teaching and other administrative responsibilities, these responsibilities may be part of a full or part time position. The Faculty Chair carries responsibility in the following areas: Anthroposophical/Pedagogical Leadership S/he will be able to ascertain and hold the Anthroposophical being of the school. The Faculty Chair will act as a Waldorf Education resource to enrich and deepen the school�s relationship to Anthroposophy, and act as a liaison between YIHS and the Anthroposophical community. S/he will provide inservice content and coordinate other avenues for faculty development. Teaching The Faculty Chair will be expected to teach classes in his/her area of expertise. Characteristics of the qualified candidate: Ideally, this candidate will be an experienced Waldorf educator with an open and creative relationship to Anthroposophy, who will be able to provide insight and stability in this realm to a dynamic faculty group. Additionally, this candidate will be honest, self-motivated and able to relate to and work well with adolescents in a self-governing environment. S/he will be willing and able to engage in the work of self-development and self-evaluation. S/he will have good written and oral communication skills, good organizational skills, knowledge and experience with meeting facilitation.. Suncoast Waldorf School seeks an experienced Waldorf-trained teacher for its combined class of 5th/6th graders for the 2008-2009 school year. Suncoast Waldorf School is located on its own wooded campus of 1.75 acres where pre-K through eighth grade classes are held. Both German and Spanish languages are taught beginning in the first grade. Each grade has handwork, movement, games, and music, while chorus and violin are offered in the upper grades. The 5th/6th grade is expected to have 13 children, many of whom have been together for grade school, and others since Kindergarten.
