Located on the shores of the most beautiful lake in the world, our community is a unique blend of indigenous Maya and international expatriates. Our small pueblo is marked not only by a stunning view of three volcanoes, but also by a distinct spiritual awareness -- yoga, massage, and vegetarian food are abundant; fasting and silence are common. Intermediate Spanish and English is desirable, as is a flexible personality and a sense of adventure. This class will likely be a first-second blend. Start date is January 2009 at the latest, though arrival earlier is preferable. Please contact us for more info.

Hello dear future colleagues. I am an experienced Waldorf teacher with a warm and joy-oriented soul seeking to find my place in an established Waldorf school with a strong Anthroposophical community.
I have a long-time teaching history with young children in many settings, and have just returned from India where I worked with a group of teachers and health care professionals to care for a large group of orphans and to offer in-service training
to teachers in a school for poor village children. I am yearning for my own class of children again, especially in these times of great change and challenge.
My husband and I are Canadian-born with Greek family heritage. We share a long-time commitment to organic gardening and have worked in the British Columbian environmental movement for about 15 years. My husband is a Chartered Herbalist and soon to be certified as a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practioner. We love nature and commuity life and share a peaceful and meditative home life.
Although we are childless by a higher design, we have a close and beloved extended family and help to support two foster children whom I worked with in an earlier teaching assignment. Young children remember me best for my storytelling, playwriting, and clowning as well as for my love of music and for integrating practical craftwork into day to day life.
We seek a new home with a moderate to warm climate, preferably near water.
