Linden Corner School / Linden Waldorf School
Linden Corner School (Linden Waldorf School) seeks enthusiastic candidates for class teachers in our grades program.
Candidates must possess a commitment to personal and professional development and an enthusiasm for collegial work. A bachelor’s degree is required. Waldorf teaching certification / experience is desirable. We offer mentoring, professional development, and an opportunity to complete Waldorf teacher certification training while employed.
Linden Corner School has grown rapidly. From its beginnings with the Nashville Steiner Study groups in the 1980s, Linden Corner has grown to provide Waldorf education to approximately 150 students in preschool through grade 8. We seek to attract students of all faiths, backgrounds, and ethnicities. Linden Corner derives many of its strengths from the fact that it is a work of love by its parents and faculty. LCS graduated its first 8th grade class in May 2007.
Linden Corner School is a developing member of AWSNA and recently received approval to add “Waldorf” to its name. Beginning July 1, 2008, our school will be called Linden Waldorf School.
Our school is located in the heart of Nashville on 12 beautiful acres. Nashville ranks among the top five friendliest cities in America, according to a recent CNN-Travel & Leisure magazine survey. Madrona School

Tidewater School is a young school located on the beautiful seacoast of the southern Maine-New Hampshire border, only an hour from Boston, MA and the White Mountains of NH. Hawthorne Valley School
Hawthorne Valley School is looking for senior faculty to take up openings that we find ourselves with for class three and class four. These openings exist as our current class teachers will be returning to England at the end of the school year.
Both of these classes have 25 students and are very strong, both academically and socially. They need a strong guiding hand to lead them on the balance of their lower school journey.

With this position we continue to invest in the future of the Waldorf movement in Canada.
Position Description:
This is an opportunity for an aspiring Waldorf teacher to be mentored for a year after Waldorf teacher certification. As an intern you will consolidate your learning and prepare for your work as a class teacher.
Your timetable includes Main Lessons with different class teachers, exposure to some specialist teachers, recess duty supervision and afternoon supervision of the Grade 1 class. You attend faculty meetings parent evenings and become involved in the community life of the school.
Requirements:
• Waldorf Teacher Education certification.
• A bachelor’s degree.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• The ability to convert strategies into effective operational activities and achievements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• An approachable manner with colleagues, parents and students.
• Willingness and proven ability to work within a community environment.
Salary/Hours:
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm inclusive. Attendance required at Lower School Faculty meetings until 6:05 pm on Mondays and full Faculty meetings until 6:15 pm on Thursdays.
