Seeking Athletic Director/Coach.
We are looking for a teacher who is willing to lead our modified and high school athletic program and take it to the next level. This position is a part-time position.
We currently field modified (grade 7&8) teams in cross-country and boys and girls basketball. Our high school sports include cross-country, girls and boys volleyball, girls and boys basketball, softball, baseball and track and field. We are a member of the NY State High School Athletic Association and compete against both public and other private high schools.
You would hold the entire athletic program including interfacing with parents, students, faculty and coaches and other schools. You would be responsible for all facets of the program.
In addition to the athletic director's duties, there is also the potential of coaching various teams.
Our school, established in 1973, serves approximately 300 children. We are a full member of AWSNA and accredited by the NY State Association of Independent Schools as well. You can visit our web site at www.hawthornevalleyschool.org
We are fortunate to be located in the midst of a 400-acre biodynamic farm and be a part of the Hawthorne Valley Association, which includes a working farm and retail store, a year-round program for visiting students from the region, a publishing concern and various other anthroposophical initiatives.
We offer a base salary of $32,500 with increments for full-time Waldorf teaching experience. Our benefits plan includes medical and dental coverage, pension, and tuition remission.

Madrone Trail Public Charter School
The Madrone Trail Public Charter School opened in 2007 with K, first and second grades. We plan to add a grade each year until we are a K-8 school of approximately 220 students. We are seeking a Games/Movement teacher for the 2008-2009 school year to teach the first, second and third grades for a total of 6 hours per week. ABOUT AURORA WALDORF SCHOOL
Founded in 1991. Complete Toddler through 8th Grade program, including Eurythmy, Spacial Dynamics/Gymnastics an average of 4 days a week, Woodwork, Handwork, Clay, German, General Music, Chorus, Band & Orchestra, individual support through Extra Lesson, Therapeutic Eurythmy, and Remedial Reading and Math... and a core of teachers who have been with the school since its beginnings and are now on their second cycles. Portland Waldorf School

Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm
HIGH SCHOOL MOVEMENT POSITION
Summerfield Waldorf School is seeking someone who is trained in spatial dynamics to create a movement and physical education program for students in grades 7-12. This person must be sensitive to the changing needs and capacities of adolescents, and will preferably have participated in adolescent education in a Waldorf school environment. The individual should be capable of working in collaboration with colleagues to inspire more movement throughout the curriculum. He or she will be a core member of the high school faculty, serving as student mentor and leading Project and Open Week trips. In addition, this person will coordinate efforts with the lower school faculty.
