Seeking early childhood assistant for small preschool (Roots and Wings) on lovely Vashon Island, WA. This position is a wonderful opportunity for a recent graduate, or someone with a Waldorf background and experience with young children. We will have 12 3+4 year old children Monday-Wednesday, 4 hours per day. There are opportunities to create more hours through aftercare, and providing childcare on Thursday/Friday, and non school days. Hours can be tailored to your needs and wishes. Hourly wage is $15/hr. Vashon Island is a 15 minute ferry ride from Seattle, making it truly the best of both worlds. We are a full member of WECAN and a member of AWSNA with a Developing School status. The Waldorf School of Cape Cod will be in its 24th year of operation in the 2008 – 2009 school year. Our school is located within a block of the Cape Cod Canal, gateway to Cape Cod and the islands (Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard). The natural beauty of the area is unprecedented, with water and beaches everywhere.
