Desert Star Community School
Desert Star Community School outside of Sedona, Arizona, is looking for a kindergarten teacher, either part time or full time. Desert Star is in its second year and offers K through grade 6. The school owns 3.5 acres of land bordering state forest land, lots of room for hikes and exploration in the high desert. Desert Star is a charter school, open to all children at no expense, and has all Waldorf trained teachers or teachers in training. We teach the Waldorf pedagogy as well as Howard Gardner's Multiintelligences and have an important multicultural aspect to the school being in the southwest. Ideally, the kindergarten teacher would have experience in a Waldorf School and ready to help in parent education. The school may offer a full day program next year with the afternoon rest and play. The Olympia Waldorf School, a well-established elementary school in its twenty-third year, is actively seeking a full time Kindergarten Teacher for the 2008-2009 school year. Our Early Childhood program includes three mixed-aged kindergartens serving children from aged four to six. Two of our three kindergartens are housed in our Kinderhaus, a charming early childhood school setting on a two acre parcel directly adjacent to the school’s main campus.
Olympia Waldorf School offers a K-8th grade curriculum serving approximately 165 students. Our faculty includes three kindergarten teachers and assistants, eight class teachers and five specialty teachers. Specialty lessons offered are Eurythmy, German, Spanish, Gardening, Games, Handwork, Woodwork, Music, and Strings.
A strong administrative staff consisting of a full-time administrator, business manager and enrollment/public relations coordinator and part time site manager and office assistant, manages the daily activities of school operations. Our campus has three buildings, a circa 1914 schoolhouse--complete with bell tower--which has a place on our state’s historical register, a three classroom building built in 1999 and the recently dedicated Kinderhaus. We are situated on 5.5 acres of field and garden in rural East Olympia. Our community is warm and dedicated and actively participates in the life of the school. The Olympia Waldorf School is deeply committed to honoring and sharing the rich cultural diversity that lives in our community.
Olympia is the capital of the state of Washington nestled at the southern tip of Puget Sound, a large body of saltwater bays, channels, inlets and coves. The Olympic Peninsula with its rain forests, mountains, coastal beaches and parks is just an hour away. The Cascade Mountain Range stretches north to south separating temperate and desert climates is also within an hour’s drive. If you are interested in climbing, skiing, hiking, kayaking, sailing, fishing, boating or any outdoor pursuits, there is much to offer here. We are very fortunate and aware of our natural world and all that it has to offer. We are far enough to the North that we have four seasons, much daylight in the summer and plenty of darkness in the winter to draw us into our families and homes. Our salary for experienced full time teachers with Waldorf certification includes increments for teaching and educational experience. Health benefits (including dental and vision) and full tuition remission are part of the benefit package. Candidates with Waldorf teacher training certification or equivalent experience are preferred.

River Canyon School (a Waldorf initiative)
River Canyon School (a Waldorf initiative) is seeking a Kindergarten teacher for a first-year mixed-age Kindergarten in Grand Junction, Colorado starting in the Fall of 2008. We are a small group of families committed to Waldorf education for our children and have a space to start a beautiful Waldorf program. We would love an experienced Kindergarten teacher to take a small mixed-age class M-F mornings. The Mountain School
Join The Mountain School (TMS) in Sun Valley, Idaho as a Kindergarten or First Grade Teacher working alongside the Chair of the School, Katharine Woods, in either the Mixed Age Morning Program (4-5 yr olds) or the 1st-2nd grade combined class. TMS opened in June of 2007 and is located on a 1.5 acre biodynamic farm in south central Idaho with fiber goats, a jersey cow, chickens, ducks, rabbits, bees and greenhouses.
At 20 student capacity, our program is full and there is currently a waiting list. TMS also offers 8 weeks of Summer Camp and an After School Program for 4-12 year olds. We are a developing member of WECAN. This is a small close knit faculty of 3 full time teachers, some part time help, plus an administrator. Our last full time teacher brings woodworking, animal husbandry and primitive wilderness skills to our curriculum.

Kindergarten Teacher needed for growing Kindergarten. Current class is full with a waiting list. A Teacher is required to join the current teacher in developing our group further. The ideal candidate would be a trained Steiner Waldorf Kindergarten teacher (or close to completion of same), enthusiastic, self-motivated and with an ability to work well with other teachers.

We are committed to social and ecological healing through contemporary Waldorf Education. To

Our School
EdgeHill Country School is in its 22nd year and is located on a lovely rural property five miles from the town of Durham. We have three buildings on site, one of which may be available as a residence. The school has in the past offered KG to Grade Eight, and currently has KG to Grade Three. We have a Morning Garden Program for Parents and young children as well as a Craft Circle for Parent and the community.
New families continue to move to our area so their children may enjoy a rural, alternative education inspired by the Waldorf Curriculum.

Qualifications
We are seeking a Kindergarten Teacher with a strong grounding in Waldorf Education and early childhood education with strong leadership skills and a desire to be part of a pioneering and unique school. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, inspired about teaching and be able to work effectively with colleagues and parents. Their skills should include baking, water colour painting, and the ability to teach both singing and recorder.
