Spanish Teacher 2008-09, Alabama

The Redmont School in the Waldorf Tradition announces the following job openings for the 2008-09 school year: Spanish Teacher The above role offers the candidates, as teachers, the freedom to nurture the development and unique capacities of each child within the context of the whole class, according to the development of the child as outlined in Waldorf pedagogy and the works of Rudolph Steiner. As Faculty members, candidates will play in integral part in maintaining and determining the pedagogical and administrative aspects of the school. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree; Experience working with children; Waldorf Teaching Certification, or willingness to learn about and implement Waldorf pedagogy and curriculum. Preferred Experience: Master’s Degree in art, education, or related fields; Previous Waldorf teaching experience; Alabama Teaching Certification (for grades teachers) The ideal candidate will be a native Spanish speaker, and will embrace the writings of Rudolph Steiner’s as a working hypothesis for the teaching of foreign language, and follow the guidelines for the Waldorf subject teacher lesson plan format. Compensation Salary is determined annually. Stipends are currently awarded for Waldorf Teaching Certification, Alabama Teaching Certification, and years of service at a Waldorf school. Spanish/German Teachers

Shining Mountain Waldorf School
Grade/High School Spanish or German Teacher Shining Mountain Waldorf School is seeking qualified individuals to serve in our World Language program as either Spanish or German teachers beginning in August 2008. We are in the process of making changes in our High School World Language program that may result in the hiring of additional Spanish and German teachers for 2008-09. In addition, we are changing our program for the Lower Grades. Thus, for the right individuals, we may have positions in both Spanish and German, lower school and/or high school, that could be ½ time, ¾ time or full-time. We expect these issues to be clarified in the near future, but we invite you to inquire immediately if you have interest in any of these possibilities. Ideal candidates will be native speakers or fluent in their language with prior Waldorf language teaching experience. Candidates who have completed or are in the process of completing Waldorf teacher training are preferred. Bachelor’s degree required. Shining Mountain Waldorf School is a fully accredited member school of the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS) and the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA). Founded in 1983, Shining Mountain has grown steadily and now has an enrollment of 325 students in K-12th grade with a full and part-time faculty and staff of 62. The educational program is directed by a College of Teachers, which was founded in 1990. We have two kindergartens, a full elementary school with classes of 28-32 students, and our High School, which was founded in 1991, now has 90 students. Salary & Benefits: Our 2007-2008 base salary is $37,492. We offer years of experience pay of $850 per year for up to fifteen years of full-time Waldorf teaching experience at a qualified Waldorf School, and up to five years for full-time service in comparable positions at non-Waldorf schools. Medical, dental, and disability insurance, and a 401k retirement plan are included for teachers. Full tuition benefits are included for faculty children. A fund is available to offset moving expenses. Waldorf trained Japanese language teacher (Email Only)

Our homeschool group is seeking a Waldorf trained Japanese Language teacher, to teach in NYC (lower Manhattan). The children's ages are 8 and up. Thank you so much for your consideration.
