Cuernavaca Waldorf School
The Cuernavaca Waldorf School in Mexico currently has about 60 students in Kindergarten and about 100 students in grades 1st through 6th. The school is planning to open 7th grade for the academic year 2009-2010 and 8th grade for the academic year 2010-2011. For this purpose the school requires an experienced Waldorf teacher, with thorough knowledge of the curriculum and experience in mentoring, to lead the planning and organization work required for the opening of 7th and 8th grades, including giving advice or some training to the complementary subject teachers for their future work with the students of these grades. The position is open from end of August 2008. The candidate must be able to communicate in Spanish. Ideally, the candidate would be available to become the 7th grade class teacher for the year 2009-2010 and continue with his/her group the following year. Currently the school offers a full curriculum including: Handwork, Eurythmy, Watercolour Work, Music, Movement Education and English as second language. The school is undergoing the certification process with the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and relies on an enthusiastic body of teachers and a dedicated and strongly committed parent community.
