Our life is quite busy and always on the go. We live a healthy and active organic vegetarian lifestyle however, we occasionally eat wild Alaskan fish. Hello ! If you are looking for an au-pair experience in Germany, please consider us: I am looking for a loving, mature, happy, creative au-pair with a Waldorf interest. You would be asked to work 25-30 hours a week (receive pocket money, language course and insurance according to German au-pair guidelines), be able to attend a German language course and live with us as a family member in a friendly and warm atmosphere. We are a family of three including our son of age of 5,5yrs. We are looking for a caring and creative au-pair with a Waldorf background. You would have to work up to 30 hours a week with working hours in the afternoon mainly. Your duties would be to drop off and pick off our son at kinder garden (later school – both waldorf) at about 4 p.m. every day, take care of him during the afternoon and early evening and cook his meals (no fancy repasts). Also you would have to bring him to bed and baby-sit once in a while. Sometimes we might ask you to do some errands for us, since on week-days we have little spare-time. In the morning ours and at weekends you will be totally off-duty so, you will able to attend German language courses if wanted or follow any other interest of your like maybe college/university. Of course you are welcome to live with us as a family member – we have both parents our own experiences as au-pair, exchanges students and other in reference to staying in another country, with people hardly known and of a different culture. So we certainly do understand a lot of the problems you might have to face here and are willing and capable of overcoming such obstacles together. Our son is still in Waldorfkindergarden and will thereafter attend Waldorfschool. We have quite a focus on anthroposophical and humanistic education (no TV, a lot of reading, culture in all facets). We eat organic food only – but not necessarily vegetarian, although we do not eat meat every day either. We live in a small palace garden (see www.schloss-gelsdorf.de) in the area of Bonn/Cologne. You would of course have your own room (20 qm2) with your own bathroom on a separate level within our house. There will be free board and lodging, an additional pocket money of about € 300 and, where necessary and possible, a car to your disposal. We would be glad to be hearing from you. We are equally open to whoever from whereever. Languages spoken in our little familiy are Englisch, French and Scandinavian languages.
