Emerson College
With close to 1000 graduates since inception we are looking into the future and asking the most fundamental questions about the future of Waldorf teacher training. What is needed today and how should we go about meeting the needs?
Emerson College is looking for a dynamic, qualified individual to lead our full time teacher training as of September 2008. This could be seen as a one year interim position as our research and questions unfold, or this could be the opportunity for an individual with ideas and initiative to both lead the program and help us craft a new vision for 2009 and beyond.
The program unfolds within a rich context and with many opportunities for collaboration with other full time and part time trainings at Emerson: Foundation Course in Anthroposophy, Visual Arts and Sculpture Course, Biodynamic Agriculture Course, School of Storytelling, English at Emerson. Part time courses are held in Teacher Training, Early Childhood Education, and Curative Education and Social Therapy
Successful candidates will have both Class Teacher experience in a Waldorf School and some experience as an adult educator in lecturing in anthroposophical subjects. They will be able to show that they are able to network successfully within the worldwide Waldorf school movement in order to identify the training needs.
Salary to be negotiated. Please send your letter of application, CV and names of two references by April 30th to:
