Hi,I'm looking for a Kindergarten teaching job for the fall of 2008. I have a teaching certificate from Sunbridge College, and have taught one year of a combined nursery/kindergarten class. I would like to find a nice Waldorf community to teach and live in. I currently live in New York and would like to stay here, but would relocate for the right job.

I am looking for a school within a Waldorf community where I can work and where my son can attend 3rd grade next year. I also want to find a school where I can finish my teacher training (my second year) nearby. We have been involved with Waldorf schools since my son was a todler and are really looking forward to get settled in a community. I have teaching experience (in private, Montessori and public schools), a bachelor, one year teacher training (currently finishing) and a lot of enthusiasm and energy to give to a school. I'm a bit of a Jane of all trades (maybe as an Aries?) and I really enjoy all aspects of Waldorf schools. I love working with young children and high schoolers alike. I could see myself teaching high school humanities and drama (which I have some experience in and lots of passion for) but I could also see myself teaching in the grades (although I would love to assists perhaps first, or at least have a wise mentor). I am resourceful and inventive and when I apply my energy to a school, I help in every way possible (for example being on call for a teacher, developing a classroom library, arranging fieldtrips, fundraising, and organizing and facilitating mayfaire). If you feel that I might have a place in your school, please email me. I am really looking forward to finding our community and a place to apply this energy I have to give.

When I embarked on my study of Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy, I stopped my work as a casting director and art event planner to work with children again. I am currently the child care provider for three families, two of which I met during their enrollment in the Pasadena Waldorf Toddler Program.
I became interested in Waldorf Education after attending a lecture on the Social Mission of Waldorf Education. It was a beacon in the night; I had been searching for a way to collaborate with those who wanted to protect human freedoms. How better to achieve this than through education and the constructive revolutionary thoughts and ideas of Rudolf Steiner and this three fold approach.
I come from a progressive family of innovative educators, environmentalists, farmers, poets, musicians, artists, and performers. I grew up across the woods from a farm school for teenagers with special needs that my grandparents started on Bainbridge Island, Washington. I attended alternative high schools and later received my B.A. from The Evergreen State College where I won the Senior Thesis Award for a musical I wrote inspired by Goethe’s Faust. I have continued to write plays and poetry since then as well as to explore my other artistic interests such as sculpture, dancing, costume design, crafts, cooking, and my dear love and appreciation for music and singing.
When I look to my near future and what I can give to a Waldorf community I see myself bringing theater, speech, sculpture, art, festival planning, and eventually class teaching. Coming from a strong education formed by collaborative study, I wish to be a part of a school that holds this spirit and makes it accessible to all. I am a great admirer of John Muir and his tenacity for wonder-filled observation, curiosity, and an enthusiasm for the glories of Nature. I hope to be a part of a community that holds true the importance of learning about and from the harmonies of the earth, her kingdoms, and the Cosmos both in and around us.

I'll be graduating this May with a degree in Literature. At school I've written for and edited the campus weekly, and have been working in the Rare Books Library since the fall. I've been impressed with what I've read about the Waldorf schools-- their approach seems a far cry from my public school experience, and therefore very appealing. So I'd like to be a part of the Waldorf community, and I think that, with my writing skills and literature background, I would contribute a great deal.

A Waldorf teacher with over sixteen years experience is interested in mentoring young teachers. My expertise is in grades 3-8, especially in grades 6-8 (which I've taught four times). I currently teach English and education at Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan, where I also serve as Director of Curriculum Development for the Institute for Arts-Infused Education (see link).
All the best,
Michael Martin

I have experience working in both music and special education and am looking to be a Waldorf Kindergarten or 1-8 educator. I have worked in public schools as a band director and a special education assistant and have read about Waldorf education and would like to become trained through summer programs and work in a school during the school year. I enjoy working with young people, playing the french horn, taking hikes, making pottery and enjoying life!

I am a qualified Waldorf teacher with twelve years experience in teaching Lower School, especially Classes 3-5.
In addition to my Waldorf experience, I have conceived and led self-expression and self-development workshops for children and adults, that include movement and drama, with a foundation in mythology. These workshops have been particularly well received in South Africa and in Greece.
I would welcome the opportunity to use these skills to the benefit of a school or family that requires a mature, level-headed and enthusiastic individual.
I am specifically looking for a post in Europe (preferably Switzerland). I am an EMT speaker, with intermediate spoken and written German.
