Shining Mountain Waldorf School
Shining Mountain Waldorf School, located in north Boulder, is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Director of Advancement, for immediate employment. This business savvy leader promotes and cultivates a spirit of giving throughout the school community that helps Shining Mountain to achieve its short and long-term financial and marketing goals. This position is responsible for meeting the school’s annual fundraising and significant capital campaign goals. The Director works with Trustees, parent volunteers, and outside consultants to plan and implement yearly annual fund and major donor campaigns, capital campaigns, planned giving, grants, and corporate sponsorships.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Development within non-profit membership organizations (schools, churches, etc.) and an extensive background in capital campaigns with a proven track record of exceeding fundraising goals. East Bay Waldorf School is currently seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Business Manager, beginning as soon as possible to allow for overlap with our current Business Manager.
The Business Manager is responsible for accurately recording the receipt and disbursement of school funds and the accurate preparation of financial records to ensure that the school can meet its financial obligations, maintain financial health, safeguard its assets, and comply with all applicable laws and accounting principles. This position reports to the Administrator and works closely with the Board of Trustees and the Finance Committee, as well as supervises a full time Financial Assistant.
About our school: The East Bay Waldorf School is located on 10.9 beautiful hillside acres overlooking the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Pine Hill Waldorf School
Pine Hill Waldorf School invites trained eurythmy teachers to apply for a 2008-09 full time position. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, able to work effectively with colleagues and parents, and have completed their Waldorf teacher training. We are looking for an individual who will participate actively in the committee and festival work that is so important to the life of our community.
Our school is in its 35th year and offers a full Waldorf program for students from nursery through grade eight, as well as a parent-child program for infants and toddlers. We also recently began the first Waldorf-inspired child care center in the country in collaboration with a local public school system, serving children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. We are a full member school of AWSNA, a member of the Association of Independent Schools of Northern New England (AISNE), and are accredited by both groups.
The experienced teaching faculty, led by a College of Teachers, is dynamic and brings a wealth of diverse experiences to Pine Hill. We have a spacious, light-filled room dedicated to eurythmy, a beautiful auditorium with stage and curtain, and an accompanist who is a professional pianist and composer. Madrone Trail Public Charter School
MADRONE TRAIL PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL
Madrone Trail Public Charter School is a Waldorf-inspired charter school that opened in September 2007. The school currently has grades K-2, and is adding one grade per year until it becomes a K-8 school of approximately 220 students. We are currently seeking candidates for first grade teacher. Although our school is young, there is a 30 year tradition of private Waldorf education in the area. We are fortunate to have experienced Waldorf teachers who act as advisors, mentors, and evaluators for our school and faculty. The board of directors is committed to the vision of providing the Waldorf curriculum and teaching methods in a public school of choice. As a pioneer in the charter school movement in this area, we are excited about the possibility of opening up channels of communication with the local public school district. We offer the full Waldorf curriculum, with special subject teachers teaching French, Handwork, and Games/Movement. The ideal candidate will have Waldorf teaching experience and/or training, and have Oregon Teacher Certification or be willing to participate in a program leading to state certification. The salary range is $32,000 - $36,000 depending on certification and years of teaching experience. The compensation package includes health insurance and a generous pension plan. We are located in the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon, near culturally-rich Ashland and historic Jacksonville. City of Lakes Waldorf School is an accredited, full member school of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.
