Davis Waldorf
The Davis Waldorf School, in Davis, California, is searching for the right person to join our faculty as a fourth grade teacher. This year's third grade has been taught by a master teacher from Holland, but he can only stay so long. The children are looking forward to meeting their permanent teacher.
We own our property, and are beginning to enjoy the fruits of being a "mature" Waldorf school--we just turned 21 years old last June. We have a strong faculty dedicated to Anthroposophy and a very supportive parent body. They are invested in their children's education and in the school, bringing great enthusiasm and energy to any project.
Davis is a university town, with miles of bike paths and greenbelts. It is a progressive community, known for its small-town atmosphere, energy conservation, and environmentalism. The summers are quite hot, but winters are mild.
We are within easy reach of the Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks (about 40 minutes away), as well as just one and a half hours from Sierra skiing in Tahoe, one hour from the San Francisco Bay Area, and two hours from California’s famed wine region.
