The Chicago Waldorf School opened its doors in 1974 with a small Early Childhood program. The school has enjoyed steady growth and the present facility at 1300 West Loyola, in Rogers Park, now offers a full Parent-Child through High School curriculum and an After-School program. The classrooms are filled with light and color, and the main building houses a library, handwork and woodwork studios, a music room, eurythmy room, chemistry lab, gymnasium and auditorium. The grounds offer a garden, play area and close proximity to lakefront parks.

Four Winds Waldorf School was founded in 1994, by a few families committed to bringing Waldorf education to the western suburbs of Chicago. Today the school offers a complete elementary grade school curriculum and a preschool program beginning at age 18 months. In spring of 2000 the school purchased a two-story building on five acres of woods and fields in Warrenville, Illinois. Warrenville is approximately 30 miles west of Chicago with easy access to I-88 (the East-West Toll Road). Surrounding communities include Naperville and Wheaton.

Singing Winds School, located in Riverside, southwest of Oak Park, has been working in the Waldorf tradition since 1999. Established in 1998, Water's Edge Waldorf School offers an Early Childhood program, Parent-Child classes, and grades 1 to 8. Our mission is to share the value of Waldorf education with families who seek it. The school serves communities in northern Lake County and McHenry County, Illinois. Water's Edge is a developing school with the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.
