TEACHER TRAINING Somerset colleagues already serve as adjunct faculty with Rudolf Steiner College, AWSNA, and schools seeking guidance with curative education. At the request of several schools and teachers, Somerset now offers a remedial teacher training course that broadens understanding of learning differences in children experiencing difficulty in school and home. The curriculum includes child assessment, child development abnormalities, practical skills in curative movement, appropriate response to behavior, and strategies for curriculum adjustment and teaching. |

SCHOOL AND PARENT COUNSELLING Somerset colleagues are available for school, teacher, and parent counselling (individual and group) to assist with child assessment, behavioral issues, family rhythms, discipline, nutrition, and setting boundaries. Colleagues can also assist with curriculum design, daily rhythms, movement, homework, and other issues pertaining to the classroom and teaching. For schools that are contemplating a curriculum expansion to include curative education, colleagues can assist the faculty administration and board with questions of teacher qualifications, tuition, support group development, sustainability. |
